The idea for the Stepdaddy Ladder was born out of necessity. Dallas Fisher, our dad who had double knee replacements, found it harder and harder to access the bed of his pick-up truck. He envisioned a ladder that would hang on the back of a tailgate and make it easier to get in and out of the truck bed. He in turn called upon a trusted, old friend and they discussed the options available. With extensive experience in designing and developing inventions, the two collaborated on the features they thought would be necessary. Within days a prototype was developed and the rest is history.

Recently Dallas sold StepDaddy ladder to his son and daughter in law, Jim & Nancy Fisher to carry on the family legacy of StepDaddy Ladder. Since the purchase there have been many changes and improvements made to the original ladder but the main theme has always stayed the same.
